If you need a cheap laptop which you can use for basic computer applications like making documents, watching VCDs and DVDs and running computer applications that don't require a big memory (i.e. Turbo C++, flash games), my second hand laptop is perfect for you. For half the original price I am selling my beloved four-month old laptop for only Php7000.00 (seven thousand pesos) and the price is still negotiable!
RAM is 256mb and processor is Pentium III, not bad if you really need a cheap laptop as soon as possible. It also comes with an AC adapter and a battery. This is not your usual salestalk and I'm not trying to make this laptop look better than it actually is; but honestly I am selling this because I am planning another purchase -- for another laptop that is. I'm a math major and I do a lot of simulations and computations so I need a faster computer. I haven't experienced any problems with this laptop aside from the expected momentary freezing when I'm opening many windows (I think this should be expected) and the AC port is kinda loose so I have to wiggle it a bit sometimes. But hey, for Php7000 I don't think my laptop is that bad, not unless of course you want to conquer the whole world then even the most powerful super computers will not be enough.
It's cheap, usable, and perfect if you're an average student with average needs, like a computer to type your projects or thesis on, or an IT student to run your scripts, or maybe just browse to Encarta Encyclopedia, what other reasons do you have in there. (I have Rosetta Stone, an interactive software with resources for 31 languages -- Spanish, Mandarin, French, etc ! Cool huh?, and I also downloaded Guitar Pro, and it has a good interface for learning sheet music and tabs. So many things you can do with a computer you just need to know where and how to get freestuff.) If you're rich enough that you can buy 20-40k worth of cool and brand new laptops and notebooks out there that can make mouths drool, this is obviously not for you. But like I say, if you're an average person with average finances and average needs and you just need a laptop for the sake of having it, this one should be perfect.
